The 7 Gen 1 SoC, on the other hand, ran the game at a disappointing 27.7fps. Geekbench (version 5.0.2) revealed 1,135 points in the single-core test and 3,794 in favor of the latest Snapdragon which is a marginal improvement over the SD 865 which tops out at around 900 on. In Genshin Impact, the 8+ Gen 1 handled the game at 56.7fps, followed by the 7+ Gen 2 at 51.6fps. This performance boost is also evident in a gaming test. Meanwhile, the test shows promising 112% GPU performance gains compared to 7 Gen 1’s 17 fps score. While the 7+ Gen 2 was pretty close to 8+ Gen 1 in the CPU test, the latest mid-range Snapdragon chip only scored 36fps in the GPU test compared to the 8+ Gen 1 SoC’s 52fps score. The GFXBench 5.0 GPU test results of these SoCs are a different story. This result shows a 49% increase in the single-core test and a 47% increase in the multi-core test over its predecessor. But when compared to Snapdragon 7 Gen 1’s 812 and 2,718 scores in single-core and multi-core tests, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2’s results are significantly higher. Higher scores are better, with double the score. Geekbench 6 scores are calibrated against a baseline score of 2500 (which is the score of an Intel Core i7-12700). The data on this chart is gathered from user-submitted Geekbench 6 results from the Geekbench Browser. These results are slightly lower than Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1’s 1,3 single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. Benchmark results for the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G can be found below. In Geekbench 5 CPU test, the SoC scores 1,210 points in the single-core test and 3,994 points in the multi-core test. Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 Performance Benchmarks Note that reference devices aren’t commercial phones but prototypes designed for internal testing. However, some early benchmarks of Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 on reference devices have surfaced online, revealing a significant performance boost. Higher scores are better, with double the score indicating. While the chip’s architecture is reminiscent of the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC on paper, the actual performance of the chipset is a mystery. Benchmark results for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ can be found below. The chipset is a significant step up for the mid-tier Snapdragon 7 series, the default line of SoCs for mid-range devices. Here you will find the pros and cons of each chip, technical specs, and comprehensive tests in benchmarks, like AnTuTu and Geekbench. Good thing that there is competition, so we can get always something better for our money.Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC two weeks ago, an iterative upgrade over its predecessor. We compared two 8-core processors: Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 (with Adreno 650 graphics) and MediaTek Dimensity 1200 (Mali-G77 MP9). I understand why, but still.īut yeah: staying on one side, talking shit about the other side is just childish. The data on this chart is gathered from user-submitted Geekbench 6 results from the Geekbench Browser. Would I buy an iPhone? No, because I like the option to install another system onto this Poco if I want to. Seems to be safe and actually pretty good quality, but has a price tag many can't afford. Maybe that is why the Apple world is so appealing for some: everything is well built together. Apple's case that system is perfectly optimized for that HW, Windows on the other hand is an all-rounder OS, sometimes crappy optimization, etc. It's a like comparing a Windows 10 PC with a Macbook Pro with the same specs. Moreover for some games I would prefer the iPhone, BUT (is a big but), my Poco has way bigger screen, does not heat up ever, application switches are so smooth and instant, and can do things the iPhone can't (Geforce Now), etc. I have an iPhone 7 for work and just bought a Poco F2 Pro.īoth are great and on paper the SD865 is way out of A10's league, but the look and feel is the same. I have to agree with you, though I am definitely not an Apple fan boy.
